I create the most amazing, delicious, highly decorative cakes. Following initial discussions, I play and tweak with design ideas to elevate them to the next level. My eye for detail and love of colour means my cakes have their own distinct style. I can take your suggestions and turn them into reality, all with my own little twist to make them really stand out from the crowd. The possibilities are endless and my passion for cakes shows in each and every creation. I like nothing more than the client seeing the cake for the first time – seeing their genuine reaction to something we have thought up together. That moment is worth all the hard work and effort, each and every time. My main aim when working on one of my creations is to always exceed instead of just meet customer expectations.

emu Basu is a world-renowned multi award winning sculpted cake artist and the owner of Hemu’s Sweet Sensation LLC. She is self-taught artist and has never taken any professional training in culinary and arts. She started competing in the cake competitions in 2016 and until now, she has won several awards in cake decorating competitions all over the world. Her cakes are featured in many noticeable publications like cake masters, American Cake Decorating Magazine, Satin Ice blog, Sugar Magazine, and many more.

She also featured in KHOU ch11, Fox26 live interview, Houston Chronicle, The Katy Times, Katy Rancher, The Katy magazine, NTV Houston and various radio channels.

She is also an Excellence cake artist for Satin Ice- a leading brand in cake industry, and brand ambassador for Sugarin Cake Decor and Ultimakes Tools.

She has also competed in Food Network Shows, Wedding Cake Championship season 2 (2019) where her team made it to the finale. And in 2020 her team won the Halloween wars season 10 :-Some of her cake competitions achievement.

Everything she makes is custom made fun and deliciousness, which is why she has won so many awards.

Last Saturday, we celebrated the engagement of a close friend's daughter at a very intimate, backyard dinner. To mark the special occasion, Hemu Basu aka Hemu's sweet sensation LLC created this beautiful and delish cake that became a centerpiece for the evening. She created this cake art with only a couple of inspiration photos (he asked her on a hot air balloon in Nov but they didn't have any photographers with them!). If you don't already know about Hemu, she's our very own H-town/Katy celebrity cake artist who's team recently won the Halloween Cake Wars on The Food Network. I met Hemu, in 2016. We have had several speciality cakes done by her since then. A copy of our Bentley Car and it was so real we didn’t want to cut into it. It was beautiful a true piece of Art! Since then we have had several other cakes she has made including a life size guitar replica! Her talent is amazing. The detail is so perfect! I was referred to Hemu online in Feb of 2020. My wife is a Walking Dead fan. Hemu made us a cake of a Zombie, based on the Walking Dead TV show, for my wife's Birthday. She loved it. The details were so realistic, we ate the shoulders and would not touch the head. It was just awesome. We hid it the freezer and scared our son with it one night when he made one of his late night raids of the fridge, it was hilarious. Since then she has made cakes for all of us. Mine was an alligator head..really cool. The cakes not only look good, but are delicious. If you are looking for a cake that makes a STATEMENT, look to Hemu with Sweet Sensations. A real artist with the colors and creativity. I dare anyone to find better.
